Larvik houses the Treschow estate which is currently owned by Mille-Marie Treschow "Norway's richest woman.". The Treschow estate was created in the 1820s when the last count of Laurvig was declared bankrupt.

The North Sea has always been important to Stavanger ferry port. Stavanger is Norway’s fourth largest city located on the southwest coast of Norway. Stavanger is often referred to as Norway's largest ‘small town’. Everyone in Stavanger knows someone who knows someone else, but Stavanger is more cosmopolitan and international than any comparable Norwegian city. This area, near the international ferries is composed of small, wooden houses and cobble-stone roads. This all combines with an international atmosphere which is blended with the city's own charm and arrivals via DFDS Seaways Newcastle ferry and Color Lines Hirtshal ferry.
Oslo is the oldest of the Scandinavian capital cities, founded, according to the Norse chronicler Snorre Sturlason, around 1048 by Harald Hardråde. Today's city centre is largely the work of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, an era reflected in the wide streets, dignified parks and gardens, solid buildings and long, consciously classical vistas, which combine to lend it a self-satisfied, respectable air Oslo Ferries dock at Vippetangen quays which is a 15 minute walk south of Oslo S. The Oslo ferry port terminal is operated by Stena Line, Color Line and DFDS Seaways.
With its range of tourist and cultural facilities, Kiel has become even more attractive. One indication of this is the increasing number of passengers, who visit Kiel with the luxurious Scandinavian ferries and cruise liners.
With the city centre just a few strides away, enjoy the multifarious opportunities for shopping and entertainment. Kiel ferry port has a dense network of traffic to virtually every destination in the Baltic region including the Kiel to Gothenburg, Oslo and Klaipeda ferry crossings.
